GOLANI TEST PREP
Premier SAT and ACT Test Preparation
"Hi Mr. Krausz, I just wanted to tell you that I got a 740 on the math section of the SAT! Thank you so so much for all your hard work and help--I REALLY couldn't have done it without you! I went up literally 200 points--I didn't even think that was possible! I really appreciate all the time and effort you put into helping me. Not only did I learn a lot, but I had a lot of fun. Anyways, thanks so much!!!!!!!!"
Tamar Rothstein (Graduate, SAR High School)
ABOUT
The Golani program is a premium Math (and ACT Science) preparatory program designed for maximum results.

Both courses, which were designed by Alon Krausz, are broken down into 20/24 units (SAT/ACT) in two 400+ page books. Alon wrote and refined the books over the course of 20 years. Each unit focuses on a tactic or a content area, with numerous actual exam problems to practice the skills.

These methods have helped former students raise their scores an average of 80-120 points on the SAT and 4-8 points on the ACT .

WHY CHOOSE GOLANI?
Experience - Content - Strategy
-
Some courses focus mainly on tricks and tactics, like plugging in, backsolving, etc. Others focus only on course content, like probability and quadratic equations. Golani believes that maximizing one's score requires learning both techniques and content, and learning when it is appropriate to use each.
-
Alon is an experienced SAT/ACT Math specialist. He personally designed and wrote the books that are used in his course. He has a reputation for possessing patience and clarity. Not only are his techniques effective, but the method of delivery has been honed through twenty-seven years of classroom experience teaching math.
-
All Golani instructors are trained by Alon and have experience in both the classroom and one-on one tutoring.

CARALYN BIALO, PH.D
Instructor for the English Sections
Caralyn is a tenured professor of Medieval and Renaissance Literature in the English Department at Manhattanville College. She started out as an instructor at Princeton Review and then left to run her own tutoring program. Caralyn focuses on building students’ arsenal of grammar skills and reading and analysis strategies for the English and Reading sections of the ACT and the Writing and Reading sections of the SAT. She also gives students concrete templates and strategies for succeeding on the essay portions of both tests. Her program is actively tailored to individual students’ needs and her students show remarkable improvement in their scores. Caralyn can be reached at bialotestprep@gmail.com
DANI FLEISCHER
Instructor for English Sections
Dani Fleischer is a freelance writer whose work has appeared in The Washington Post and the L.A. Times. A veteran of the test prep game, she got her start working for several tutoring companies, before founding her own shop, Steel Trap Tutoring, in 2017. After gaining experience and assessing other companies’ materials, she wrote Steel Trap’s comprehensive grammar curriculum. She firmly believes that test prep should be tailored to each student’s individual needs, and as such works hard to establish relationships with both her students and their parents. Preparing for the ACT and SAT is a fluid process that builds on itself, and Dani is constantly assessing students’ progress as the process unfolds, course-correcting whenever necessary. When not writing or tutoring, Dani can be found rooting for the Giants and Knicks or refinishing midcentury furniture. She can be reached at steeltraptutoring@gmail.com.
